As part of the event Winterworld 2005 the Dam Square will be transformed into a characteristic Christmas market from December 7 until 26, 2005. The 1800 square feet skating rink will be surrounded by some 25 stalls shaped like wooden chalets with a wide variety of Christmas presents, wintry snacks and old trades.
The Christmas market will feature a large crib and a festively illuminated Christmas tree of over 30 feet in height. The event is completed with suitable music which allows visitors to get into a proper Christmas spirit. Winterworld 2005 is open daily from 10 am to 10 pm.
The skating rink will stay at the Dam until January 7, 2006.
