Local Favourite Scoops Three London Restaurant Awards

I Paparazzi restaurant at The Coach House Hotel in Romford has won the Overall London Chef of the Year award at the Archant London Food and Drink Awards for the second year running. The popular Italian eatery also scooped the Best Hotel Bar/Restaurant and Outstanding Waiter awards.

The restaurant has built a loyal customer base since launching in 2003 and prides itself on offering outstanding quality Italian dishes with exceptional service. The awards, voted for by the public, prove that they are achieving this and will create a wider awareness for this excellent eatery.

I Paparazzi is more than a hotel restaurant. With a constant stream of regular, satisfied diners travelling across London (Liverpool Street is just a 17 minute train journey to Romford station) to enjoy delicious meals, I Paparazzi is situated in two rooms - a light and airy conservatory area and a formal dining room, often used for wedding banquets. The Victorian building in which the restaurant stands was built in 1881. The garden area also allows for a large patio, suitable for seating up to 80 people to dine al-fresco.

Traditional Italian fayre is the order of the day with favourites including Tournedos Rossini (Fresh Fillet of Beef served over Crouton topped with Fois Gras with Brandy & Madeira Sauce), £21.95 and Merluzzo Paparazzi (Fresh Grilled Cod wrapped in Smoked Streaky Bacon), £13.95. Sundays also offer a traditional roast between 12pm and 4pm as well as the a la carte menu.

Head Chef Franco Cellini sources all of his ingredients from London markets, thus ensuring that the produce is a fresh as possible. Priding himself on personally selecting the very best meat, fish and vegetables, Chef Cellini also offers daily specials. The specials are often delicious fish and ensure that there is always something new for diners to enjoy. The award-winning restaurant staff are also experts in their trade to make sure that each and every customer fully enjoys their dining experience.

This month also sees the launch of the new Henry Cecil bar. Endorsed by the famous racehorse trainer, the bar is the doorway to both sections of the restaurant and is decorated with memorabilia and images of Henry Cecil’s career. Serving beers, wines, spirits and cocktails, the bar is the perfect place to relax before or after a meal.

I Paparazzi has built its reputation on excellent food and great service and the eatery hopes that winning these London awards will encourage even more people who enjoy dining out to travel to this restaurant destination.
