The largest Gay Pride Festival in the Nordic countries takes place in central Stockholm. A 5-day event filled with seminars, workshops, concerts, theatres, attractions, etc. The big parade will conclude the week on July 31.
About Pride
Since the start in 1998 Stockholm Pride has grown to become one of Stockholm’s largest annual festivals and also the largest Pride celebration in Scandinavia.
Every year Stockholm Pride attracts visitors from Sweden and the rest of the world. During one week Stockholm Pride turns Stockholm into a free zone for the GLBT-community painting the city in the colors of the rainbow flag.
Stockholm is built on 14 islands – our home during the week is the largest one - Södermalm. Here you will find Pride Park (Tantolunden).
Pride Park
In Pride Park our festival arena for 10´000 people is built with the main stage, restaurants, shops and other attractions. Every afternoon and evening a wide variety of artists and shows are scheduled on the main stage. Pride Park is open from Wednesday until Saturday.
More Pride
Pride is also celebrated on other places in and around the city. Art exhibitions, debates, films, seminars, parties and other activities are some of the things offered outside Pride House and Pride Park. All activities are included in the schedule that is found at this web site and in the Pride Magazine.
