A few weeks ago, the indoor tropical paradise “Tropical Islands Resort” opened in the former hangar of the Cargolifter in Briesen-Brand, located in Brandenburg 36 miles from Berlin. A bathing world with a southern flair was created on an area of more than 700,000 square feet.
There are changing shows in the evenings. Those who wish can rent a tent on the beach to spend the night and be awakened in the morning by the twittering of birds.
The “Tropical Islands Resort” is easy to reach by train; visitors from Berlin can take a shuttle bus. Those coming by car can park free on the large parking lot of the resort. Prices are family-friendly: adults pay from 15 Euro for four hours during the day; children to age 13 pay from 7.50 Euro.
