Time is fast running out for dairy exporters to enter the prestigious Food from Britain and RBS Export Awards, which celebrate the successes of the UK’s top exporters across all sectors of the food and drink industry.
The industry’s premier dairy exporters are set to be rewarded for their achievements in 2006 at a glittering awards ceremony at the Savoy Hotel in London, and with the deadline for entries set at 6 October companies that are proud of their successes this year are being urged to act fast in order to be in with a chance of winning.
The awards offer a great opportunity for UK exporters to shout about how well they’ve done in 2006, whether it’s breaking into new markets, increasing overseas sales or running effective high-profile marketing campaigns in one or more countries.
Juliet Harbutt, Chairman of The British Cheese Awards, which sponsors the Dairy Exporter of the Year award, said: “The number of UK cheese companies exporting their produce has increased significantly over the past five years, and we are delighted to sponsor this award as it recognises and rewards those who have taken this major and challenging step.
“There’s still time for more of our top dairy companies to stake their claim on this prestigious award,” she added.
Alongside the awards, Food from Britain will be running its annual Network Forum. This unique event for food and drink organisations provides a perfect platform for producers to meet FFB’s team from nine offices in Europe and North America that have expert knowledge of the local markets.
FFB's International Directors will update attendees on what's happening in these key regions, and help producers to explore the export opportunities. With more than 300 food and drink representatives expected to attend the event, it is also a great chance to make new contacts and exchange experiences.
