Melbourne hosts one of the world's largest comedy festivals every year in April and it's a great time to visit the city for a true taste of the unique Australian sense of humour.
This year the comedy festival takes place from 12 April until 7 May and venues around the city come alive to the sound of laughter. More than 1,000 local comedians and guests from around the globe take to the city’s stages with a mixture of stand-up, theatre, cabaret, visual arts and street entertainment.
