The natural combination of cheese and wine, with their centuries-old traditions, are the perfect pairing for any occasion. With this in mind, Ilchester Cheese Company, the UK’s leading producer of blended and speciality cheeses, has partnered with the London-based wine tasting experience Vinopolis to host cheese and wine tasting days in October.
Discover the secrets of matching the right wines with cheese, experience for yourself how the flavours of both are greatly enhanced when perfectly paired up. Taking place on each Sunday in October, (beginning 1st October and ending October 29th) the cheese and wine tasting will be held in the Australia tasting room at Vinopolis, where visitors will be able to sample an array of delectable English cheeses with specially selected wines.
Visitors will be able to sample five of Ilchester’s delicious cheeses, specially chosen to compliment the wine. Information leaflets compiled by Ilchester will be handed out to visitors advising them on good wine and cheese combinations on the various regions covered throughout the Vinopolis self guided wine tour.
The Cheese and Wine tastings start from 12noon - 6pm (the last tour admission time is 4pm).
