A new, two-day rock festival in Liverpool has been added to England's burgeoning festival circuit. The Knowsley Hall Music Festival (June 23-24) is set in 2,500 acres of landscaped parkland surrounding the ancestral home of the Earls of Derby. The line-up includes legendary rockers The Who (their only festival gig aside from Glastonbury, which also takes place this year). Other acts include Keane, The Zutons, The Coral and Pete Wylie & The Mighty Wah.
Liverpool has a reputation as the world's pop capital, having spawned The Beatles and boasting more number-one hits than any other city, according to Guinness World Records. Information tel: 0151 707 1309.
