More than 85 varieties of roses will be on display in a Sussex garden this June, an event promising to be one of the best of its kind this year.
The Special Rose Weekend (June 16-17) at Pashley Manor Gardens, Ticehurst- winner of the Christie's Garden of the Year Award-will include guided walks led by a representative from Peter Beales Roses, winner of 15 Chelsea Gold Medals.
The fragrant, colour themed plantings, surrounded by fountains, ponds and fine old trees, make a fine sight, complemented by graceful climbers adorning a Victorian greenhouse. There is a café and gift shop. Admission to the event is £7 and the gardens are open on certain days every week until Sept. 29.
