World Golf Championships, American Express Championship At The Grove, Hertfordshire

(28th September – 1st October) The World's top golfers will descend on The Grove – London’s Country Estate – on Thursday September the 28th as the first day of the prestigious World Golf Championships, American Express Championship gets underway with a staggering prize fund of $7.5 million.

The four-day event gets underway at 11am and the likes of World Number One Tiger Woods will be joined by Ernie Els, Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia and Colin Montgomerie in this premier event on the international golf calendar.

This will be the first and last time the World Golf Championships will ever be held in the UK, and it offers golf fans the unique opportunity to watch the world’s top 64 players play on all four days of the tournament. The occasion also marks the first time that so many of the top golfing stars will ever have played on a course so close to London. Central London is just 18 miles away!

28th & 29th of September: Play begins at 11am

30th September & 1st October: Play begins at 8.30am
