Chocolate Truffle Perfection For The London Chocolate Week

Words cannot describe The Chocolate Society’s latest creation. Using Vermeer Dutch Chocolate Cream Liqueur and dark chocolate, The Chocolate Society have come up with the most delicious chocolate truffles to coincide with the forthcoming London Chocolate Week from 16th to 22nd October 2006.

While stocks last, visitors to The Chocolate Society’s shops in Belgravia and Mayfair during the London Chocolate Week will receive a free miniature of Vermeer Dutch Chocolate Cream Liqueur with every purchase of a box of Chocolate Society Vermeer Liqueur Truffles.

The Chocolate Society’s Vermeer Liqueur Chocolate truffles are a decadent mixture of dark chocolate, cream and Vermeer Dutch Chocolate Cream Liqueur. This mixture is known as a ganache and is covered with chocolate melted or tempered to a certain temperature which is then cooled to a certain temperature and then melted again. The ganache is formed into a ball and then dipped into the tempered chocolate. By doing this, a hard covering providing a crunch is created, whilst the ganache in the centre stays soft and silky.

Alan Porter of The Chocolate Society comments “We feel Vermeer is the best chocolate liqueur we’ve ever tasted so the natural progression was to try using it in our chocolate truffles.” Matthew Steeples of Vermeer Spirits adds “The Chocolate Society’s Vermeer Liqueur Chocolate Truffles are perfect as a gift for Christmas or as a treat for someone special.”

Media personality Christine Hamilton concludes “"Vermeer chocolate truffles are, quite simply, 'heaven on earth'. Rich, dark chocolate and alcohol - pure, glorious, wicked indulgence. Go on, taste one to believe it!"
