La Cucina Caldesi, London’s Italian cookery school at 118 Marylebone Lane, London W1, is offering food lovers the opportunity to develop their writing and styling skills with a series of courses taught by some of the country’s best known food journalists.
Olive Magazine’s Food Editor, Lulu Grimes, will be hosting interactive ‘Food Writing’ courses, where she will discuss recipe writing, food blogs, and publications. Students will also learn how to write recipes, critique other examples, adapt existing recipes and how to pitch ideas to magazines in order to gain commissions. The classes will involve fun exercises and descriptive writing. Tom Norrington-Davies, a Daily Telegraph Food Columnist, will be a guest tutor during Food Writing part two, when he will share some of his experiences and secrets.
Lulu will be accompanied by professional photographer Myles New for her ‘Food Styling’ course, where pupils will learn to prepare recipes and be shown how best to style the dishes prepared.
All courses will include canapés with a glass of wine.
