Diners at a horse racecourse on the outskirts of London can enjoy all the excitement of ‘the sport of kings’ from a new panoramic restaurant. Designed to combine the thrill of the races with a fine dining experience, The Panoramic Restaurant and bar (opens June 7) at Kempton Park, Sunbury-on-Thames, promises to be a popular addition to the course which has recently undergone an £18 million makeover.
The restaurant serves a modern European menu with a choice of packages available from £65 per person including entrance and parking. A champagne and cocktail bar for those simply wishing to enjoy a drink with a unique view. Arranged over three tiers, the restaurant and bar is completely glass fronted so that every table overlooks the course. There is also a private balcony offering views of the winner’s enclosure and the parade ring, as well as a flat screen monitors on every table with opportunities to place bets whilst seated. Open daily on all race days, which are scheduled throughout the year, including twilight and evening meetings. Website: www.kempton.co.uk
