Dining in the dark in London

A restaurant where visitors dine in complete darkness and are guided by blind or visually impaired waiters has opened in London.
Dans Le Noir (Dining in the dark) opened in March at 30-31 Clerkenwell Green, EC1 and includes a bar and lounge. The first Dans Le Noir was opened in Paris two years ago and has been a huge success. It is billed as a “new human and sensory experience” as any preconceptions of what food tastes like are gone.

In the words of one diner: “Food tastes like you have never tasted it before”. Eight visually impaired people have been trained to guide people through the experience. Reservations, tel. 020 7253 1100.
