General Manager Appointed For The Hilton Molino Stucky Venice

Hilton Hotels Corporation has appointed Paolo Biscioni to oversee the opening and future success of the exclusive Hilton Molino Stucky Venice opening in June 2007.

Paolo Biscioni’s thirty- year career within the hospitality industry includes the management of a number of hotels for prestigious brands including; Royal Demeure, Ciga Hotels, Forte and Meridien.

This will not be the first appointment Paolo Biscioni accepts with the world’s leading hotel brand, working previously as Managing Director of the luxurious Rome Cavalieri Hilton, the Eternal City’s only “city resort”.

Winner of the Italian hotel industry’s ‘Oscar’ (2005 Premio Excellent), Mr Biscioni will be charged with helping the Hilton brand gain a foothold in the lagoon city of Venice.

The Hilton Molino Stucky Venice is another example of the commitment Hilton Hotels Corporation is making to reinforce its presence in Italy. The rapid expansion in Italy includes the recent rebranding of Hilton Nova Yardinia (May 2006), the opening of Hilton Florence Metropole (December 2005), the future three openings in Palermo (Sep 06 – Mid 07) and the Hilton Portorosa (mid-2007).

Born in Florence, Paolo Biscioni was trained in the Tuscan capital however, will be looking to draw on his UK hospitality experience gained in London at the Savoy Hotel, Hyde Park Hotel, Le Méridien and Grosvenor House to welcome UK guests.

“I’m delighted to accept this new role,” declared Paolo Biscioni. “Venice has always been the cradle of the Italian luxury hotel industry. With help from the Hilton group and brand, the city is set to become the number one destination for tourists from all over the world .”

Mr Biscioni’s initial focus will be to create the right formula for attracting the luxury traveller and to also attract new business from the conference market, which will be the hotels core customer base.
