Looking for a way to beat the airport lounge blues? This summer, Icelandair offers the ‘ultimate stopover’ experience to passengers taking advantage of its transatlantic flights from Glasgow to the USA - an inspiring whale spotting excursion in Iceland, free of charge.
Icelandair already offers passengers on a same-day transfer in Iceland the opportunity to relax in the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa at no extra cost. This July and August, for the first time, Icelandair will expand the stopover experience and offer a unique ocean-going whale spotting excursion off the coast of Iceland.
Within 60 minutes of landing in Iceland, transfer passengers will be sailing in waters renowned for sightings of minke, humpback, killer and fin whales, in addition to porpoises and white beaked dolphins. Icelandair is working with Moby Dick Whale Watching, which has achieved a 98% successful ‘spot’ rate over the past eleven years of operation.
After the excursion, passengers are taken back to the airport in plenty of time for their ongoing flights to the USA.
Icelandair flies from Glasgow to the USA from £316* return including taxes. Call Icelandair on 0870 787 4020 or visit www.icelandair.co.uk for the best fares.
