The 30 years old world famous annual Enduro (endurance bike race) is being relaunched by Le Touquet Paris-Plage in 2006 and will take place on 4 and 5 February 2006. The Enduro is a mythic race that gathers, each year since 1975, more than 1200 drivers (men, women, professionals or enthusiasts).
It will be known as “Le Touquet-Pas de Calais 2006 Enduropale/ Quaduro" to reflect the new changes to the layout, new safer measures and new environmental safeguards.
The races, which take place on 7 kilometres of beaches, are organised by the Tourism Office of Le Touquet Paris-Plage and the Flanders Regional Motorcycle League.
These will be a three hours race for Quad bikes on the Saturday and the main three hours race for 1000 motorbikes on the Sunday. The circuits will take two months work to prepare.
Last year, the 30th Enduro race was watched by some 450,000 people.
Le Touquet Paris-Plage is a French seaside resort on the Opale Coast (Northern France) which was created only one hundred years ago.
