Devon Cliffs, Haven’s flagship resort in Devon may not be the perfect holiday spot if you are planning a bit of ghost hunting. But as the Palmer family from Derbyshire said on this week’s ITV1’s Holiday Showdown – it is just Fun, Fun Fun.
Gardener Bill and wife Tracey took their five children, aged seven to 17, to Haven’s Devon Cliffs holiday park near Exmouth – and invited along psychic couple Julie and Christian Angel-Guest, daughter Emily, 13, and nephew Danny, 15, to try their kind of holiday for the TV programme.
The Palmers had a great time enjoying the non-stop entertainment, huge heated indoor fun pool, bowling and other amusements. And the kids loved the shows by Haven’s popular characters Rory the Tiger and his friends - as well as the evening shows with talent contests, fancy dress competitions, cabaret artists and bands.
What’s more the spacious, well-equipped caravans provided comfortable accommodation with wonderful seaviews for both families – even the Palmer family and their five children proved no problem. The park has a full range of accommodation on offer, all with non-stop hot water, fully fitted kitchens, TVs and even DVD players in the luxury Gold Olympic caravans.
And there’s no shortage of places for the family to eat out – the park caters for every taste with family friendly restaurants and take-away options as well as a well-stocked shop on hand for when mum Tracey chose to cook for her brood.
At Devon Cliffs Mums can take time out – as Tracey Palmer did - and enjoy some ‘me’ time at the resort’s brand new £2.5million spa. There’s a full range of treatments on offer from facials to all-day pamper packages.
Following a recent investment totalling more than £6million, the park has never been better with five heated indoor and outdoor pools, children's clubs, and a superb programme of day, evening and night entertainment. There’s certainly plenty to keep kids of all ages amused.
Devon Cliffs is within a pebbles throw of a truly spectacular beach ….which more than lives up to the name ‘Sandy Bay’.
A three-night weekend or four-night midweek break in mid July for a family of up to eight in standard accommodation will cost £474, or £705 for seven nights. A week’s holiday in August will cost from £744
Get into the spirit and have a Haven holiday - the only thing you’ll miss are any ghosts!
